Assets are any digital files (Images, PDF's, Word Document's, etc...) that can be upload and hosted in your Fotomerchant account.
This article will cover two types of assets:
Graphic Assets
Graphic Assets are various types of images that can be displayed on web pages or blog posts.
Unlike images that are uploaded to Fotomerchant Galleries, graphic assets support multiple file types (JPEG, GIF, PNG, etc) that can be viewed on the web. This is perfect for things such as banner images, page decorations, product samples and much more.
Graphic Assets will be shown in the size and quality they were uploaded without any compression applied.
General Assets (PDF, Word, Excel files...)
This category of assets includes commonly used files such as a PDF, Word Document, Spreadsheet, etc. This is perfect for providing customers with links to important items such as pricing sheets or contracts that they can download onto their computer and print out at home.

Inserting a Graphic Asset onto a web page or blog post
We recommend working with two browser tabs when following this process.
In one tab open the Website > Assets area and in the other tab open the web page or blog post you would like to insert the Asset.
1. We will start in the Website > Assets tab, and copy the link to the Asset.
Below each Asset you will either see the text "Copy Link to Asset" or "Direct Link To Asset", depending if Flash is enabled for your browser or not.
If you see "Copy Link to Asset", you can just click on it and the link will be automatically copied.
If Flash is turned off, you will see the text "Direct Link To Asset". Right click on "Direct link to asset" and then click on Copy Link Address.
2. In the other tab with the web page or blog post editor open, scroll down to the content area and click on the grey plus bar.
3. Select Image.
4. Paste the link to the Asset, we copied in step 1 above.
5. Use the Save button at the bottom of the Page
This next section will help you if you're using the Advanced editor for your web page or blog post.
When using the Advanced editor for web pages or blog posts, use the Insert button in the editor toolbar seen below:
